美國加州的Surfware公司開發的Surfcam是基于Windows的數控編程系統，附有全新透視圖基底的自動化彩色編輯功能，可迅速而又簡捷地將一個模型分解為型芯和型腔，從而節省復雜零件的編程時間。該軟件的CAM功能具有自動化的恒定Z水平粗加工和精加工功能，可以使用圓頭、球頭和方頭立銑刀在一系列Z水平上對零件進行無撞傷的曲面切削。對某些作業來說，這種加工方法可以提高粗加工效率和減少精加工時間。V7.0版本完全支持基于微機的實體模型建立。另外Surfware公司和SolidWorks公司簽有合作協議，SolidWorks的設計部分將成為Surfcam的設計前端，Surfcam將直接掛在SolidWorks的菜單下，二者相輔相成。

全球頂尖第三大CAD/CAM軟件服務商Vero軟件公司非常榮幸的宣布，Vero公司已經成功收購來自Surfware軟件公司的Surfcam軟件，以豐富其CAD/CAM的產品線。
